Our church follows a historic Presbyterian model of church government, in which biblically qualified leaders represent, shepherd, and protect the congregation. The local assembly of leaders for this purpose is called the "Session".
Pastor Jeff Evans, Moderator of Session
Pastor Evans has recently completed his pastoral preparations at Greyfriars
Hall in 2005. Jeff and his wife Chrissy have three young children, are native
Michiganders, and both received their B.A. degrees from Hillsdale College. Following
his B.A., Jeff attended the Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary for two years before transferring to Greyfriars
Hall. The Evans family relocated to Howell in late August, and September 4,
2005 was Pastor Evans' first Sunday in the pulpit.
Greyfriars Hall is a three-year ministerial training program of Christ
Church, Moscow, Idaho. Training is completed in the context of the local church,
under the care of godly elders. One of the requirements for completion of the
Ministerial Track at Greyfriars Hall is development of a personal Philosophy of
Ministry. Pastor Evans'
complete Philosophy of Ministry can be found here.
If you would like to contact Pastor Evans, please feel free to call (517) 648-4828 or email him at jcevans@christkirkmi.com.
